When: 13 November 2008
What Time: 7.30 - 9.30 p.m..
Where: Áras na nGael, 45 Sráid Doiminic, Gaillimh

Conradh na Gaeilge is organising a conference for voluntary groups throughout county Galway working to promote the Irish language in their own locale next Thursday, 13 November 2008, in Áras na nGael, 45 Sráid Doiminic, Galway City from 7.30 p.m. to help co-ordinate efforts and plan for the future development of the language together.

Particular emphasis will be put on youth events and the Conradh's conference will focus on the promotion of Irish among young people in a practical and effective way.

As part of the planning for the future conference, the series of summer camps organised by Conradh na Gaeilge this year will be reviewed and the development opportunities these camps afford will be looked at. Advice and assistance will also be given to groups looking to run Irish-language events for young people in their own areas.

Áine Ní Iarnáin of Conradh na Gaeilge said: "Conradh na Gaeilge's conference is open to anyone and everyone interested in attending, and I hope to see the start of a wide variety of Irish-language services provided for our young people as a result of this co-operation, in Galway and further afield."
