Conradh na Gaeilge is the democratic forum for the Irish-language speaking community. By becoming a member, you will have a voice in the future of the organisation and of the language.
Membership - from member branches to individual members is the heart and the foundation of the organisation. Conradh na Gaeilge has hundreds of branches and individual members working on behalf of the language and encouraging use of the language, not just in Ireland, but across the world. Since the organisation was founded in 1893, Conradh na Gaeilge's members have actively promoted the Irish language in every aspect of Irish life.

Membership in Conradh na Gaeilge gives you the opportunity to take part in the major language questions of today.
Individual Members play a valuable role in ensuring Conradh na Gaeilge continues to function as a sustainable democratic forum for the Iriish languae spekaing community.
Any individual member can put a motion before the Ard-Fheis, and also nominate someone for the presidency, for the two spaces available to individual members on the Coiste Gnó, and to the Bord of Directors for Seachtain na Gaeilge.
There are 2,200,000 Irish speakers in Ireland. Your voice is needed.

Your Area
We are the main lovvying group for the Irish language community. As an individual member you will ahve the opportunity to meet with politicians and discuss local issues.
Representaing your background and your area is relally important to us. Your expert knowledge will help us represent and serve your community as we promote Irish in your area.
As an individual member, you will be able to take a leading role in campaigns in your area and work with branches and other individual members in your area to achieve major progress.

Conradh na Gaeilge has individual members ine very corner of the country. There is strength in numbers and we have nurtured a strong network which supports one another.
Our members are a source of expert knowledge, innovation and strength for the organisation. All individual members have the opportunity to be on committees and working groups dealing with a specific question facing the language, or broader contemporary issues.

International Publicity
Every member is welcome to submit stories to our monthly newsletter so that all members of the Cornadh across the world are aware about events for the Irish language. We are also happy to share news via Conradh na Gaeilge's Facebook and Twitter as well. Send details to:
Point of Contact
Conradh na Gaeilge acts as a point of contact between the Irish language community and its individual members.
It is through the organisation that individual members can get to know other language activists in the industry, get information about important ongoing campaigns, take part in social events through Irish and share and progress ideas about the promoion of the Irish language within this democratic forum.

Every individual member gets a soft copy of the newsletter every month, and information is shared with them about campaigns and information is shared with them regarding the organisations' events first. Join the network!

Your membership will be automatically renewed. However, if you would like to end your membership for any reason, you can contact
NB: All applications for individual membership must go before the Coiste Gnó to be accepted. Payment of the reigstration fee does not mean your membership has been automatically accepted.
The current Membership Fee is €20 per annum.
100% of this fee goes to supporting our work on behalf of the Irish language on an all-island basis.
The form and registration fee must be received 10 weeks before the Ard-Fheis to be entitled to a vote.
