There will be by-elections in BÁC Láir and in Gaillimh Thiar on Friday, 22 May. Two seats are to be filled - one in each constituency - and more than 20 candidates have put their names forward.

Conradh na Gaeilge is asking the Irish-speaking community to take #GaelVóta into account when casting their vote in these elections.

As part of the #GaelVóta campaign, we gathered information on the candidates’ positions regarding the Irish-language and Gaeltacht demands that we sent to them over the past few weeks.

We want people to have the opportunity to take these positions into account when casting their vote on Friday in the by-elections.
