The Education authority are holding a public consultation into the recommendations contained in their draft Irish language policy. The consultation is open until 27th February 2023 and written responses can be filled out here. The Education Authority are also holding a number of consultation sessions via Microsoft Teams, the details for which can be found here.
Below are some of our recommendations to strengthen the draft policy in line with best-practice, in recognition of the statutory duty as well as the incoming Irish language legislation.
